Shoutout to the Village Vibe for featuring My Wildhood in their August 2016 Issue. The Village Vibe is Fernwood’s neighbourhood newspaper. It was created by Fernwood NRG staff and volunteers in 2005 to communicate with residents about goings on in the neighbourhood. Excited to be apart of this amazing community! Pick up your copy of the Village Vibe outside of the Cornerstone Cafe in Fernwood.
As you may know, over the month of June, My Wildhood was actively fundraising through a crowdfunding platform called Indiegogo. We are happy to announce that we have achieved our goal of $5000! This means that we are now able to purchase the necessary materials, equipment, and technology needed to facilitate our outdoor exploration and graphic design workshops this Fall. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported My Wildhood since it's launch -- you are all amazing and we truly could not have done it without you!
A very special thank you to the following people: Bob Macdonald, Marina Schranz, Marnix van Gemert, Lori van Gemert, Jonathan Schranz, Louise van Schagen, Jan van Gemert, Beth Carey, Elaine Maxwell, Rus Sethna, Lindsay Taylor, Jordan Fritz, Gerald Fritz, Emily Dawn, Erik Garbin, Adrian Spaziani, Samantha Altorio, Larissa Fulop, Nicolle Gonsalvez, Jayne Oldhoff, Emily Henchey, Brett Larson, James Cumpstey, Lisa Ragno, Kristina Sokolowksi, Luke Davey, Rebecca Wortzman, Kurt Elliot, Haley Guest, Wayne Griffiths, Rick Kool, Antonio Lennert, Mel Spensieri, Cassandra Waldon, Fiona Lacey, Sean Kortschot, Scott Elliot, Sarah Lever, Rob Macdonald, Sudhershi Kularatnam, Olivia Rollo, Kristen Holmes, and Megan Mondoux.
Three, two, one, blast off! My Wildhood has officially launched with the unveiling of an Indiegogo Campaign to help raise the funds needed to offer three workshops for Fall 2016: Outdoor Photography and Photoshop Design, Outdoor Sketch and Illustrator Design, and Surf Photography and Photoshop Design. The funds raised will go towards numerous start- up costs that include everything from business licensing to an Adobe Creative Cloud Education Membership so that youth have access to the top design programs during each workshop.
